It’s not talent that is the key ingredient. It is work. You can sit around and comfort yourself in knowing that you are more talented than some famous musician, but the question is, can/do you out-work them? Usually not. I have talent, but I have an even greater work ethic. That’s how this ignorant hillbilly from Arkansas wound up opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd. I didn’t get the gig because I was more talented than everyone else, that was one of almost 300 shows I performed that year. 300… Consider how much hard work that takes… This is the key to all success, grit, determination, work, and talent, in that order. It also helps to have an amazing team, (Guyla Armstrong) Success is not an accident. It’s an “on purpose.” Are you “On Purpose?”
